    Valentines Day :: Raw Chocolate Truffles {Part I}

    I have a few great V Day ideas up my sleeve. This year it entails homemade chocolate as well as few other homemade ideas that I will share in the next post {in a few days when it's complete}.

    Instead of buying too much stuff, I just decided to use what I had in my pantry and the molds I already have used in past blog posts.

    What you will need:

    * A chocolate or other type of a MOLD
    * Saucepan
    ---------------------------------------

    RECIPE
    - ½c Cacao Butter
    - ½c Agave Nectar {or to taste}
    - 3Tbls Maple Sugar Powder {if you don't have this just add more agave nectar}
    - ½c Raw Chocolate Powder
    - Sea Salt {optional}
    - Cacao nibs OR goji berries OR cayenne powder OR nuts {optional}

    Melt the cacao butter in a sauce pan on low OR put the cacao butter in a bowl and put it in boiling water until melted.

    Then add the rest of the ingredients {except for the last ingredients} and MIX in the warm pan until super smooth. The warm pan helps to homogenize the mixture. {somebody made this recipe and put mixture in vitamix - the mixture was clumpy}.

    Pour mixture into the mold. Put the last ingredients as toppings or fold gently into the chocolate mixture.

    Freeze mold until hard.

    I poured the chocolate into the molds on top of a fun lime coconut crust {this is optional and you can get creative with this}.

      Made these and the mixture got really clumpy and thick in the vitamix. When I poured it into the candy shells it started to seperate. Not sure how they will turn out they are in the freezer now. Did I do something wrong?

      @Anna

      That's very weird. My mixture wasn't clumpy at all. Maybe too much cacao powder.

      OK, I didn't clarify. Warm the cacao butter on the stove like I said. Then add the other stuff and mix and mix while the pan is still warm (heat off).

      Hope that helps. I am going to make more right now - because I am doing new flavors. I will check and see what maybe is wrong with recipe.

      THANKS. Sorry.

      I just did a smaller scale version of this recipe because I ran out of cacao powder. But it turned out right - not clumpy - but it wasn't as sweet as I would like. So, I modified the recipe to be a little sweeter (add more agave). I also recommend tasting it before cooling in freezer, just to be sure that it is to your liking.

      Also, don't put in vitamix. Just use the warm pan to mix it all up.

      Hope that helps. SORRY about any confusion.

Passion fruit water is yet another youth serum. As passion fruit is full of vitamin C, vitamin A, fiber, and minerals like calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, and folate. These help your kidneys, nerves, muscles, and heart rhythm in big ways.
Your body uses Vitamins C to make blood vessels, cartilage, muscles, and collagen, which keeps skin looking young. It also helps your body heal, lowers inflammation, and protects your cells from damage. When you get enough vitamin C, it lowers your chances of getting colds and certain types of cancers. Vit A is great for eyes, immunity, and cells.
Note: did you know Passion Fruit is actually a berry? The biggest berry you’ll find.

    If you’re not ready for change, you’re not rea
    If you’re not ready for change, you’re not ready for change. And that’s perfectly ok.
Making healthy choices isn’t hard work. You “have time” to choose an apple over a bag of chips. Let’s be real here; you just DON’T WANT TO. And that alone is totally ok!!
Let’s not shame others choices or pressure another to change. If somebody is not happy where they’re at, or they are sick, or in pain, only then will they start examining their current routines and habits. Anger is a great catalysts for change. It often pushes people out if their comfort zones and into action.
I often hear “I don’t have time to be healthy”. But what that really means is I don’t want to change or I’m afraid of change. And I’m not ready. Change is what they’re nervous about - not the amount of time it takes to chop up vegetables.
Be kind to yourself…but be honest.
Notice what you say you desire (weightloss or more energy) and then really examine your habits. Do you make the choices a “thin” person makes? Do you make the choices a rested high energy person needs to make? This might seem obvious but it’s actually not…so often we overlook this gap. We don’t see it and then we get mad at ourselves. Punish ourselves for “failing” over and over again.
Once you start paying attention to your actions and habits and line them up with your goals - that’s when the magic happens.
Yay or nay?
