    giveaway time :: toms shoes!!

    We are GIVING away a PAIR of TOM's shoes - a pair of YOUR CHOICE. This is really exciting for me because I am ALL about Toms. My kids have them. My man has them. And SO DO I. I get so many compliments, but most importantly I FEEL GOOD wearing them.

    If you haven't heard of TOMS yet, you are living in a cave possibly, so I won't go into much detail. But for every pair of shoes you buy, the company donates a pair to children in need of shoes. It's a GREAT idea and a great company. The shoes are mainly vegan {most pairs}, eco friendly, comfortable and stylish. This guy Blake is a genius, good looking and just totally cool. He's got all the celebs promoting his shoes and just knows how to make something so simple SO cool.

    So, why not enter to WIN a pair of these awesome shoes?

    Here's how to enter:

    1) LIKE PureMamas AND Toms shoes on Facebook.

    2) Retweet giveaway on Twitter {if you aren't on twitter then please explain this}

    3) Tell us why you deserve a pair of TOMs shoes. Send us an email to deliciouskookies {at} gmail.com or leave a comment here {below}.

    NOTE: MUST LIVE IN THE UNITED STATES. SORRY!

    CONTEST ENDS IN 4 DAYS EXACTLY! 5/30/11

      I tweeted this 🙂

      I want a new pair of TOMS because mine have holes so big you can see two of my toes through each shoe [almost 3! Okay I'm exaggerating]... Basically, I really need a new pair!! 🙂

      And I can't just say "I deserve a Pair of Toms" because really it is the kids that deserve a pair of Toms and so we have to do our part by buying a pair for ourselves and for our families so that the kids in need can also have a pair! 🙂
      Thanks for the fun contest!

      1) I "liked" you on Facebook.
      2) I actually do not have a Twitter account.
      3) I deserve a pair of TOMs because I wish to give something back to our society, with something that represents a good message, something that will truly give back children who actually NEED shoes. Like a lot of women, I love shoes but over the last year or so, I've stopped and even lost that desire to buy fashionable or nice shoes. Though I've heard about TOMs every blog and social media, I don't see any TOMs anywhere close to where I live (in fact, I don't even "look" to shop for them) but i'm very curious and interested about them!

      3. Love TOMS and the message they send. As a teacher, I need to wear shoes that are comfortable, but want to wear shoes that look good also. TOMS are both and it gives me a chance to share the brand with my students and what the company stands for. We all need to give a little more and that's what I'm trying to teach my students....the shoes just start the conversation!

      Toms is a company that changes the world and I think that rocks. It's not that I think that I deserve the shoes but it's the joy I get from actually GIVING a pair of shoes to a child that doesn't have a pair, shares a pair and is unable to attend school because of it.

      Being able to help out these kids fills my heart with joy. Thanks for the chance to give a little gift.

      I would like a pair of TOMS because I want to support their mission. By wearing them, I know that I can show how cute they are and explain how comfy they are, yet also explain why TOMS is such an important role model for other brands and companies. I've been making many changes in my life in regards to clean beauty, responsible food choices, and the next step is fashion and style. Thanks!

      Since you and everyone I know raves on how comfortable they are, I guess I deserve them because I am a teacher and want some comfy shoes. I am on my feet all day long working with 1st,2nd and 3rd grade students and due to budget cuts I am being asked to do more with less. Who isn't these days in this economy...Comfy shoes = happy teacher.
      Also, my kids will notice my shoes and I will get to share the lovely story of TOMS hoping to inspire their young minds and showing them how this company is making a difference in so many lives of people who don't have the same privilages they do. Which frankly, kids now a days desperately need to understand that they are not the center of the universe and they are global citizens.

      3- I love everything that TOMS is doing and represents. It's an amazing cause. I've been wanting a pair and I Want to buy my little brother a pair as well to teach him the importance of being globally aware of what's going on in other countries. He's 7 and he's extremely smart. After I graduate from nursing school I plan on volunteering in orphanages in Africa. The children and babies without healthcare just break my heart into a million pieces 🙁

      What a great giveaway!! It's for a wonderful cause. Toms has to be my favorite company.

I think it's great that they are putting shoes on children in Africa so maybe I don't deserve them because I already have several pairs of shoes of my own (none that are TOMS) but I sure would love a pair 🙂 Plus they would be very comfortable to wear at my busy job that keep me on my feet all day.

      Thanks for the great giveaway! I liked & tweeted (@NataliaKW). I would love to win a pair of Tom's! I just donated 16 pairs of shoes that no longer fit my lifestyle (lots of nice heels)! I'm always hoping that my sharing can help others that need them more. I love that Tom's whole mission is about giving to those in need. We all have enough to go around, we just need to keep on sharing the love.

Passion fruit water is yet another youth serum. As passion fruit is full of vitamin C, vitamin A, fiber, and minerals like calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, and folate. These help your kidneys, nerves, muscles, and heart rhythm in big ways.
Your body uses Vitamins C to make blood vessels, cartilage, muscles, and collagen, which keeps skin looking young. It also helps your body heal, lowers inflammation, and protects your cells from damage. When you get enough vitamin C, it lowers your chances of getting colds and certain types of cancers. Vit A is great for eyes, immunity, and cells.
Note: did you know Passion Fruit is actually a berry? The biggest berry you’ll find.

    If you’re not ready for change, you’re not rea
    If you’re not ready for change, you’re not ready for change. And that’s perfectly ok.
Making healthy choices isn’t hard work. You “have time” to choose an apple over a bag of chips. Let’s be real here; you just DON’T WANT TO. And that alone is totally ok!!
Let’s not shame others choices or pressure another to change. If somebody is not happy where they’re at, or they are sick, or in pain, only then will they start examining their current routines and habits. Anger is a great catalysts for change. It often pushes people out if their comfort zones and into action.
I often hear “I don’t have time to be healthy”. But what that really means is I don’t want to change or I’m afraid of change. And I’m not ready. Change is what they’re nervous about - not the amount of time it takes to chop up vegetables.
Be kind to yourself…but be honest.
Notice what you say you desire (weightloss or more energy) and then really examine your habits. Do you make the choices a “thin” person makes? Do you make the choices a rested high energy person needs to make? This might seem obvious but it’s actually not…so often we overlook this gap. We don’t see it and then we get mad at ourselves. Punish ourselves for “failing” over and over again.
Once you start paying attention to your actions and habits and line them up with your goals - that’s when the magic happens.
Yay or nay?
