    Honest Company :: Honestly Original

I was definitely intrigued when the founders of The Honest Company, Jessica Alba {actress & mother of two} and Christopher Gavigan's {author & father of two}, marketing person got in touch with me about not only testing out their products on my blog but about hosting a vlog with Jessica Alba as well.

As an owner of a company myself, I was truly intrigued by the marketing strategies and immediate success they have seen upon launch.

Besides not being certified organic, there is really nothing negative I can say about this company and its efforts to be sustainable, long-term, high design, and innovative. The structure of this company is unique. Unlike Kookie Karma, they don't sell to Whole Foods or other independent green kids stores. They sell only online.

First you go on the computer { honest.com } and choose your favorite products that best suit your family. There is everyting from diaper rash creme to laundry detergent and diapers.

Every month, on pretty much the same day, you receive a package on your doorstep with your basic cleansing needs. GREAT IDEA!

Each time they deliver, they also donate a percentage to charity. Their charity of choice is Baby2Baby.org - which provides underpriviledged kids with food or necessities they might not otherwise get. GENIUS!

Check out The Honest Company online for more information about their sustainable mission. OR, better yet, stay tuned for the information vlog starring Jessica Alba herself, discussing the details of the company, their story and their dreams with The Honest Company.

You can watch it right here on my blog on MARCH 20th, 2012:

I'm so glad these guys decided to make some products tht happen to be natural. There aren't many out there that really are, even though they say they are. Selling online only is a good idea, along with profits to charity. It's actually what influences by buying 😛 Hope you guys can develop into something bigger and better as you become more popular!!

hi, my name is Valbona Ivezaj and I'm a graphic designer at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit. This brand is intriguing. I think it's a great idea. There hasn't been a "green-vegan" baby product company ever. This will interest a lot of "green" mothers. We are a modern culture and we need the products to keep up with us evolving. This is a great evolution.

I LOVE the Honest products! I'm a mom of an 18 month old and was always on the hunt for all-natural/organic/toxin free products. It was time-consuming to do the research and pricey to boot. It's so easy now with the Honest brand...they've pretty much got everything at a reasonable price. They offer you a free trial (only pay $5 for shipping) of their products before you decide to commit to their monthly subscription. So really there's no harm in giving them a try.

Passion fruit water is yet another youth serum. As passion fruit is full of vitamin C, vitamin A, fiber, and minerals like calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, and folate. These help your kidneys, nerves, muscles, and heart rhythm in big ways.
Your body uses Vitamins C to make blood vessels, cartilage, muscles, and collagen, which keeps skin looking young. It also helps your body heal, lowers inflammation, and protects your cells from damage. When you get enough vitamin C, it lowers your chances of getting colds and certain types of cancers. Vit A is great for eyes, immunity, and cells.
Note: did you know Passion Fruit is actually a berry? The biggest berry you’ll find.

If you’re not ready for change, you’re not rea
If you’re not ready for change, you’re not ready for change. And that’s perfectly ok.
Making healthy choices isn’t hard work. You “have time” to choose an apple over a bag of chips. Let’s be real here; you just DON’T WANT TO. And that alone is totally ok!!
Let’s not shame others choices or pressure another to change. If somebody is not happy where they’re at, or they are sick, or in pain, only then will they start examining their current routines and habits. Anger is a great catalysts for change. It often pushes people out if their comfort zones and into action.
I often hear “I don’t have time to be healthy”. But what that really means is I don’t want to change or I’m afraid of change. And I’m not ready. Change is what they’re nervous about - not the amount of time it takes to chop up vegetables.
Be kind to yourself…but be honest.
Notice what you say you desire (weightloss or more energy) and then really examine your habits. Do you make the choices a “thin” person makes? Do you make the choices a rested high energy person needs to make? This might seem obvious but it’s actually not…so often we overlook this gap. We don’t see it and then we get mad at ourselves. Punish ourselves for “failing” over and over again.
Once you start paying attention to your actions and habits and line them up with your goals - that’s when the magic happens.
Yay or nay?
