    Ginger Pomegranate Margarita

Jump to Recipe - Print Recipe

The flavor of this ginger pomegranate margarita starts off almost like a natural fruit punch and then it shifts to a crisp, clean flavor and then ends with an earthy gingery heat. You almost feel like you're getting healthier while drinking this cocktail.

It's pomegranate season right now. And what better way to enjoy pomegranates than in a margarita?

This recipe was inspired by the feeling of Fall in the air on my morning walk. So many of my neighbors have pomegranate trees. This drink is made from store-bought pomegranate juice in a large glass jar. But have you ever had the REALLY really fresh stuff from the farmer's market? There is nothing that tastes more like nature's blood running through your body when you drink that. I know it sounds odd, but seriously, you feel a whole new level of health after 8 oz. It's actually kind of thick and deep purple. It has a very unique flavor.

I don't have any of it on hand, so the store-bought version had to do.

    Ginger Pomegranate Margarita Ingredients

The ingredients in this pomegranate margarita are fresh and clean. Think skinny lime margarita but with ginger and some hints of earthy tones.

    • Tequila
    • Cointreau
    • Pomegranate juice
    • Ginger juice
    • Lime
    • Agave Nectar
    • Rosemary for garnish
    • Smoked sea salt

    See recipe card for quantities.

    Why Pomegranate?

Fresh juice doesn’t have to be green to be healthy. Did you know that pomegranate juice contains more than 100 phytochemicals? You'll be shocked as to how many antioxidants and nutrients it has. It's been shown to be anti-inflammatory, high in vitamins and minerals, and cancer protecting phytochemicals!

    Ginger Pomegranate Margarita Instructions

I like my margaritas strong and full of flavor. So you might want to reduce the tequila amounts to suit your needs and desires.

You will want combine to all the ingredients in a metal cocktail shaker or whisk them together in a large measuring glass.

Next, spread smoked sea salt onto a plate. Using one of your limes, wet the rims of the margarita glasses. Dip the margarita glass into the salt. This will rim your glass in smoked sea salt.

From there add ice. Fill the entire glass with ice. Then slowly pour the Ginger Pomegranate Margarita mixture over the ice in each glass. Garnish with pomegranates and rosemary.

Hint: Burn the rosemary sprigs on a gas stove or with a lighter until it burns. Serve the margaritas with smoking rosemary. It gives the drink an even more Fall look and feel and the smell is to die for.

    Ginger Pomegranate Margarita

Gingery and earthy. Sweet but not too sweet. Made with all-natural skinny style margarita ingredients.

Passion fruit water is yet another youth serum. As passion fruit is full of vitamin C, vitamin A, fiber, and minerals like calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, and folate. These help your kidneys, nerves, muscles, and heart rhythm in big ways.
Your body uses Vitamins C to make blood vessels, cartilage, muscles, and collagen, which keeps skin looking young. It also helps your body heal, lowers inflammation, and protects your cells from damage. When you get enough vitamin C, it lowers your chances of getting colds and certain types of cancers. Vit A is great for eyes, immunity, and cells.
Note: did you know Passion Fruit is actually a berry? The biggest berry you’ll find.

If you’re not ready for change, you’re not rea
If you’re not ready for change, you’re not ready for change. And that’s perfectly ok.
Making healthy choices isn’t hard work. You “have time” to choose an apple over a bag of chips. Let’s be real here; you just DON’T WANT TO. And that alone is totally ok!!
Let’s not shame others choices or pressure another to change. If somebody is not happy where they’re at, or they are sick, or in pain, only then will they start examining their current routines and habits. Anger is a great catalysts for change. It often pushes people out if their comfort zones and into action.
I often hear “I don’t have time to be healthy”. But what that really means is I don’t want to change or I’m afraid of change. And I’m not ready. Change is what they’re nervous about - not the amount of time it takes to chop up vegetables.
Be kind to yourself…but be honest.
Notice what you say you desire (weightloss or more energy) and then really examine your habits. Do you make the choices a “thin” person makes? Do you make the choices a rested high energy person needs to make? This might seem obvious but it’s actually not…so often we overlook this gap. We don’t see it and then we get mad at ourselves. Punish ourselves for “failing” over and over again.
Once you start paying attention to your actions and habits and line them up with your goals - that’s when the magic happens.
Yay or nay?
